Firstly, I apologize for the delay in updating this blog. It can be a lot to update the IG, FB, and this blog.
But there's some good news since the last update (my first market). Since then, we've been to 4 more markets - the three Easter markets at Discovery Bay, and the Easter market at the Pulse in Repulse Bay. It's been fun meeting new people and seeing what they like and stop to look at. It's also been nice sharing my story and seeing the looks on their faces when I tell them I make them myself. Unfortunately, the market that was scheduled for this Sunday (9 May), has been cancelled, but hopefully it's just an aberration in the fight against the pandemic here in Hong Kong. The next one is scheduled for 13 June (the week before Father's Day). Some good feedback from the first market was that people really wanted to see Hong Kong-related fabrics and designs. So, I put together a few and now there are 4 Hong Kong related fabric designs. There was more good feedback with regards to expanding the things I make. I still want to be focusing mainly on bow ties, but these other products can be for people who are hesitant to wear bow ties but still want a fun design. I've started making twisty headbands and pre-tied bow ties. I'm finalizing the design and process for pet bow ties too (as there's been so many requests for those). There are also some neck gaiters (or buffs, if you prefer), with the Hong Kong designs as well as some other designs I've been toying around with printing as fabric for bow ties. Thanks for everyone's support and we'll hopefully be out at more markets this year!
